ScreenTone FreeSeps Edition 2.2.5 (Freeware) License Agreement This is a legal agreement between you (the "Licensee") and [ Max Chroma ] (the "Licensor") for the software product ScreenTone FreeSeps Edition. This "FreeSeps" Edition is a powerful, free-to-use tool based on the core architecture of ScreenTone Eternal 2.2.5. By downloading or using this software, you agree to these terms. 1. License Grants (What You Get) A Free, Perpetual License: You are granted a free-to-use, perpetual license for the compiled "black box" application. Unlimited Commercial Use: You may use the FreeSeps Edition for both personal and commercial projects (graphics, art, products), free of charge and without paying any royalties. Core 2.2.5 Features: You receive the core dither and separation algorithms present in the 2.2.5 codebase. 2. Feature Limitations & Exclusions Standalone Operation Only: This FreeSeps Edition functions solely as a standalone application. No ScreenTone Composer Integration: The advanced "ScreenTone Composer" integration (functioning as a node within the WebGPU nodegraph context) is excluded from this license. That capability is reserved exclusively for the "ScreenTone Eternal Perpetual License". No Source Code Access: Unlike the Perpetual edition, this version does not include User-Modifiable-Source-Code (UMSC). 3. Restrictions (What You Can't Do) No Reverse Engineering: You may not decompile, disassemble, reverse-engineer, or make any attempt to discover or access the source code of the application. This is a strictly "black box" license. No Modification: You may not modify, patch, or alter the application executable. No Redistribution: You may not sell, rent, or bundle the application. If you wish to share the software, you must link to the official Licensor website for download. This ensures all users have the latest, most secure version. 4. Upgrade Path This free application is supported by the purchasers of the ScreenTone Eternal Perpetual Edition. Feature Migration: Features stabilized in the Perpetual Edition may, over time, be migrated into this FreeSeps Edition. Upgrade for Composer: If you require the ScreenTone Composer nodegraph integration, access to the User-Modifiable-Source-Code (UMSC), or immediate access to experimental beta channels, please purchase a lifetime license for ScreenTone Eternal. 5. AI Functionality and Data Privacy The ScreenTone FreeSeps Edition 2.2.5 includes features powered by Google's Gemini API via a Bring-Your-Own-Key (BYOK) model. Client-Side Processing Only: All AI generation and data handling occur exclusively on your local device. No Data Processing by Licensor: [ Max Chroma ] does not collect, store, or process your API keys, prompts, or images. We are not a party to the transaction between your browser and Google's API. User Liability: You are responsible for complying with Google's API Terms of Service and for all content generated using your API key. 6. Component Licenses and Copyright (Dithermark) ScreenTone FreeSeps Edition is a modified, derivative work built upon the open-source project Dithermark by Allen Garvey. Max Chroma IP: All modified portions, new features, enhancements, and specific architecture not present in the original Dithermark are proprietary to [ Max Chroma ]. Original Dithermark IP: The underlying foundation remains licensed under the MIT License.
